Job roles & Responsibilities:

• Design for durability, assembly, aftermarket and corrosion. Ensures that designs meet the structural and
  ergonomic requirements as defined by the customer and any market regulations.
• Conduct regular design reviews to assure that designs meet required specifications.
• Work closely with manufacturing, quality control and purchasing for the implementation of new products.
• Work with suppliers to coordinate prototyping activities and to insure design expectations are met.
• To develop, maintain & communicate a common way of working concerning a clear & easy understandable
  product structure.
• Experience of working with suppliers to lead the development activities with a good level of product development
  cycle understanding.
• Experience with vehicle products design and manufacturing industry.
• Experience in Automotive regulations is added plus.

Experience Level: 3 to 10 years
Technical Knowledge Expectation:
Interiors:

• Hands-on experience in Plastics and Metal Engineering Technology (Injection Modeling, Metal Forming)
• Interior Automotive experience preferably in IP, DP, CCB, Air Vents.
• Quality Tools experience, MFG Process knowledge – Plastic Tooling, Fixtures etc is must.
• Vehicle Regulatory knowledge (FMVSS, ECE, AIS) will be an added advantage
• Tolerance calculation and Quality Tools (FMEA, RCA, Risks).
• Automotive product development knowledge, dimensional management
• Checking fixture knowledge.

Exteriors:

• Experience of designing & developing plastic and Sheet metal components for automotive applications.
• Experience of product development within exterior environment such as Bumper system, Ingress/Egress system,
  Front under-run protection system of commercial vehicles and/or cars.
• Possess sound knowledge in Problem solving techniques by effectively using Quality tools such as 8D/ FTA.
• Knowledge about Commercial Vehicle regulations and Certification activities.
• Hands on experience in tooling (Die, Press/Injection Mold/Die-cast) is preferred.
• Quality Tools experience, MFG Process knowledge – Metal forming, Plastic Tooling, Fixtures etc.
