Background
The client is a US manufacturing major. The project was an offshore functional testing project using QTP 7.3. The project's business need was to automate the integration and functional testing of the critical business processes in the area of logistics, finance and controlling, human resources, production planning and plant maintenance, and to use automated scripts during the SAP 4.7 upgrade project and to do functional and integration testing and regression testing.
Work Done
ASM was required to understand the critical business processes and related systems tasks to be automated. The team undertook a proof-of-concept pilot project to finalize on the testing methodology and efforts, going on to perform test execution and acceptance as well as performing the test process in QTP. As part of the project, 120 business processes were successfully automated. ASM's solution resulted in faster execution, greater coverage, higher accuracy, and reusability.
