ASM has developed this Web-based tool that enables fairground planners to plan the fairground layout either via LAN or via the Internet. The tool will provide a user interface similar in function to AutoCAD. This Graphical Planning Tool (GPT) was initially developed for a German Company, whose business involves providing solutions to event and trade fair organizers and planners e.g. CEBIT, Hanover Trade Fair.
With this technology Java Clients can connect to the server either through LAN or over Internet. The server applicable for this technology is Weblogic 5.1 / Oracle Internet Applications Server for 9i, EJB, Servlets. The database operates on Oracle 8i and 9i.
