The main objectives of the Cockpit Environment Facility (CEF) are : |

- To study the pilot vehicle interface
- To make obscurations study
- To evaluate cockpit ergonomics
- To study effects of external lights on display
- As a prototyping facility for evaluating the mission computer software specifications
- As a display suite, i.e. to evaluate the display symbology on the different display surfaces
