Cincom Systems joins hands with ASML

CINCOM Systems, the leading American software developing company, has tied up with the Bangalore - based Advanced Synergic Microsystems Ltd (ASML) to offer its numerous products including enterprise financials, logistics and manufacturing software, object -oriented tools and client services, to the Indian industry.

As part of its global marketing strategy, the $600-million Cincinnati based Info-tech company has chosen Bangalore to launch its second generation client server, distributed application development toolset, called the total framework.

The other product being introduced is an extension of one of enterprise resource planning software control. In order to cash in on the boom witnessed by the Info-tech industry in India, thanks to the massive modernization being undertaken by the Indian manufacturing sector, Cincom has set up a comprehensive centre at ASML to provide its technology about 1,000 top industrial houses in the country.

According to Cincom managing director Dilip Keshu, who looks after the MNC's operations in South East Asia and Indian sub-continent , Cincom is not new to India since its European operations had supplied the technology to many a occasion earlier to leading corporate houses so as to improve their efficiency levels on all fronts and exceed production targets. Now the objective is to bring the latest know how to the doors that lack it and improvise upon the existing ones.

Leading industries manufacturing capital goods, automotive units, food and beverages sector are increasingly employing technology to enhance their product quality. The two revolutionary products - Total and Control - cater to manufacturers of sophisticated engineered products in such areas such as corporate business planning, estimating and bidding, contracts managements, work breakdown planner workbench, configuration management, service and warranty, among others.

ASML, vice-president and chief operating office MVS Peri Sastry told The Observer here on Wednesday that the dedicated competence centre would provide support and implement support and implement services for the Cincom's products. The centre is equipped with HP 9000 servers, Sun Sparc servers and 40 PC clients. It has also started executing Cincom's overseas clients in Singapore, Malaysia and Australia.

Besides advance programme on Cincom's technologies and methodologies will begin next month. This will enable the centre to undertake complex development and potation activities region wide.
