Advanced Synergic Microsystems plans new project

BANGALORE, Jan. 18


The Bangalore-based Advanced Synergic Microsystems Ltd. Is setting up a project in the city to develop and manufacture a wide range of computer software and hardware products for domestic as well as the international market.

The company is planning to develop and market IBM PC based workstation engineering software catering to Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) and related services, the company director, Mr. Sundar, Told reporters here on Monday.

The company is also planning to develop and market software products and services for the export market. These products will be for IBM AS/400(Mid-range computer), IBM E/S 9000 (Mainframe computer), VAX series, workstations and IBM PCs.

Additionally, the company will also develop and market application software relating to the banking and insurance industry, to develop management information systems, production planning software and material requirements planning software on mini computers.

To part-finance the rs.4.60-crore project, the company is coming out with a public issue of 18,50,000 equity shares of Rs.10 each for cash at par aggregating Rs.1,85,00,000.The issue is expected to open in the last week of February or early March, he added.
